We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Townsville RAAF Base in QLD. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Defence environment, contributing to the delivery of effective and sustainable solutions.

As a key player in this project, your duties will include performing scheduled maintenance and servicing of fuel installation assets and equipment, as well as diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment. You will also be involved in project work, supporting subcontracted work packages, and collaborating with other teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering results-oriented solutions. A Trade qualified mechanical background with relevant post-trade experience is essential, along with proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, preferably in fuel services or Oil & Gas.

Confined space and working at heights tickets are highly regarded, as is experience working within the Defence fuels network or Defence industry. Safety is paramount in everything we do, so you must hold, or be able to obtain, appropriate Defence Security Clearance.
