About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mandarin speaking Business Development Manager to join our team at EBR. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to identify new business opportunities and expand our presence in the foreign exchange market.
  • Identify and pursue new leads for expansion, developing new ways to grow businesses through identifying needs within the foreign exchange space.
  • Manage client relationships via our CRM system, ensuring all pertinent information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Sell client solutions using a consultative approach, following a 5-step sales process to understand client needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Manage client onboarding in line with regional requirements and complete full customer handover as per our Sales to RMT handover process.
  • Ensure all internal processes and SLAs are followed to deliver an exemplary customer experience, escalating issues to the appropriate manager and following up on required actions.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Conduct extensive market research to understand how a brand can be positioned in a certain industry, keeping track of competitors' product developments and marketing strategies, identifying purchase patterns, and emerging trends.
  • Review spending habits, marketing efforts, values, and risk, as well as analyzing current business practices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Report weekly sales numbers to the Regional Manager and update the team on performance.
  • Adhere to the performance criteria outlined in the Sales Scorecards.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to speak fluent Mandarin is a must.
  • Professional approach to prospective clients, coupled with active listening skills and an inquisitive nature.
  • Ability to work as part of a team towards specific sales goals.
  • University or college degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Excel databases, and CRM systems.
  • Previous experience in outbound B2B phone marketing or sales.
  • Substantiated interest in FX services and products, the foreign exchange markets, and the SME business sector.
  • Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers.
  • High degree of self-motivation and focus, as well as effective organizational and time management skills.
