Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Build and lead a team of data scientists, driving their technical and professional development.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to our global enterprise AI strategy, collaborating with product and technology teams to drive the regional roadmap for exploration and adoption.
- Technical Direction: Own the technical direction for the Data Science chapter, embedding industry best practices into our organization.
- Solution Delivery: Deliver end-to-end solutions, ranging from BAU activities to complex data transformation projects, as a trusted technical advisor.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate the value of data science and AI to senior executives and stakeholders across our broader business.
This role offers a unique opportunity to mature our data science practice alongside a cloud native transformation while leading an incredibly talented team directly influencing our organization's global initiatives.
Requirements:- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated record of building, mentoring, and developing data science teams in a corporate environment.
- Technical Expertise: 10+ years of experience with a solid understanding of data science industry best practices, model building, and staying up-to-date with new advancements.
- Business Acumen: Able to understand business drivers and align technical strategy to achieve them, balancing technical excellence with business outcomes.
- Collaboration Skills: Extensive experience working effectively with other Data & Analytics, Product, and Technology functions to deliver cohesive solutions.
This position is available in Melbourne or Sydney.
