Key Responsibilities- Case Management:
- Assess and manage cases of families referred from The Orange Door and Child Protection.
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, interactions, and case progress.
- Work with families to identify their needs and connect them with appropriate services.
- Develop and implement intervention plans, setting clear goals and timelines.
- Address health, development, and family-related issues, referring to relevant services as needed.
- Support and Advocacy:
- Offer guidance on parental health, family planning, and family violence.
- Enhance families' access to community resources and support groups.
- Advocate on behalf of families with other services, agencies, and government departments.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide culturally sensitive and holistic care.
- Program Development:
- Create and evaluate group programs for parents and children.
- Ensure families receive comprehensive information about available services and use interpreters if necessary.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Adhere to legal and policy guidelines, including Child Protection Protocols and Mandatory Reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy laws.
- Stay updated with relevant legislation and organizational strategies.
- Community Engagement:
- Build strong connections with community and government agencies.
- Improve referral pathways and support systems for vulnerable families.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Engage in service planning and use feedback to enhance delivery.
- Participate in quality assurance and professional development activities.
- Educational Background: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Relevant experience in working with vulnerable families
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and work cooperatively with various organizations.
- Recent National Police Check (issued within the last 6 months)
- Working with Children Check
- valid Victoria Full Driving Licence.
