About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant, Technology Category Management to join our Digital Business Solutions team at Queensland University of Technology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving process improvement, optimising vendor relationships, and reporting to ensure transparency over utilisation and spend across various technology categories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance technology category management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Provide strategic direction for technology categories management, including risk and issue identification and management
  • Work effectively in a team, build positive relationships, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve organisational outcomes
  • Develop and maintain expertise in technology category management, including asset management lifecycle
What You'll Need
  • Education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate and extensive relevant experience
  • Demonstrated high level of expertise and experience in a technology category management role, including a strong understanding of asset management lifecycle
  • Proven high-level communication and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively consult and liaise with multiple stakeholder groups at all levels
  • Proven capability in reviewing new or modified processes to meet requirements and guidelines
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team, build positive relationships, and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated high level digital literacy skills, including proven understanding and experience working SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365 personal and enterprise productivity suites
