Direct Care Worker

SA Health is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Direct Care Worker to join the casual pool at the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. The successful candidate will work in one or more of our diverse health units located in Kangaroo Island, Mount Pleasant, Kapunda, Gumeracha, Eudunda, and Strathalbyn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the care and supervision of residents of the Residential Care Home across the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network.
- Work collaboratively within an inter-disciplinary team to partner with consumers, displaying our values of Trust, Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Kindness.
- Develop a positive rapport with residents and their families, demonstrating empathy towards the elderly.
Requirements
- AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
- Experience working with aged care clients.
- Ability to perform under limited direction, work well within a team environment, and communicate effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
