Enrolled Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Southern Cross Care. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our residents, while also supervising and guiding personal care workers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centred care to residents, promoting independence and helping them regain confidence and engage in meaningful activities.
- Work collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to provide proactive and effective support to residents.
- Ensure medications are administered safely and in a timely manner, and report any concerns or adverse reactions to the Registered Nurse.
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to Personal Carers on each shift, and maintain current knowledge of contemporary best practice clinical care.
- Report any risks that have the potential to cause an accident or injury, and keep detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts.
We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse with a Diploma of Nursing and current AHPRA registration, who has at least 1-2 years of experience working in an Aged Care environment. You will have sound communication skills, the ability to read and write clearly, and exceptional time management skills.
You will also have a high level of understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia, including those who display challenging behaviours, and sound knowledge of the Aged Care Standards.
