Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Data Analyst to support our team with the strategic direction of the business through streamlining management reporting processes and analysing data to provide advanced insights enabling executives in strategic decision-making.

This role will be key in assisting and ensuring the successful preparation and delivery of our management and board reports, variance and other analyses, including commentary on such analysis, and consolidating regional forecasts and budgets.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has performed similar roles in large organisations, with considerable systems experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the management reporting and forecasting process by consolidating regional forecasts and analysing financial and non-financial data and trends to assess performance against financial targets and benchmarks.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial presentations for executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and analysing group financial performance metrics, KPIs, and key drivers of business growth via the ongoing administration of the Group BI tools.
  • Preparing monthly management financial reporting to the Board/ELT, including providing commentary against variances.
  • Assisting in the development of the Group budgeting process by supporting leaders with planning and monitoring of deliverables from regional teams, including consolidating, reporting and analysing of group budgets.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather data, perform analysis, and support business initiatives.
  • Completing various 'ad hoc' analysis as directed by senior leadership team.

Requirements

Requirements include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce or Accounting, and postgraduate CPA/CA/CFA (or equivalent) or Masters
  • 5+ years' experience in a financial analysis position, with experience in large matrix organisations highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools, financial modelling, and data visualisation tools.
  • Experience in IBM Planning and Analytics (TM1), SAP, SAC, and Power BI desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
