About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SMSF Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and taxation, with a focus on SMSF compliance and financial services. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of SMSF work papers and financial statements in accordance with all current, legal, and accounting reporting standards;
  • Liaising with the SMSF Auditor and resolving queries as they arise;
  • Identifying relevant accounting and compliance issues;
  • Preparing documents for client meetings and assisting with client meetings as required;
  • Complying with lodgement programs by meeting lodgement dates and requirements.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting Major;
  • Completed or working towards completion of CA or equivalent;
  • Completed SMSF specialist course;
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience with Class Super;
  • Strong communication and attention to detail skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
