SMSF Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our SMSF processing division in Gosford. Your responsibilities will include preparing SMSF work papers, financial statements, and liaising with the SMSF Auditor. You will also identify relevant accounting and compliance issues, and prepare documents for client meetings.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of SMSF work papers;
• Preparation of SMSF financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
• Liaise with the SMSF Auditor and resolve queries as they arise;
• Identify relevant accounting and compliance issues;
• Preparation of documents for client meetings / assisting with client meetings as required;
• Complies with lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements.

Education requirements:

Essential

• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major

Desirable

• Completed or working towards completion of CA or equivalent
• Completed SMSF specialist course

Demonstrated experience & attributes:

Essential

• 1-2 years in a similar role
• Experience with Class Super
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
