Hotel Operations Manager - Night Shift

Crowne Plaza Melbourne Carlton, a vibrant cosmopolitan hotel experience set to open in the future, is looking for a skilled Hotel Operations Manager to lead our night shift operations. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to join a pre-opening team and be part of setting up operational foundations, ways of working, and culture.

  • This is an exceptional chance to make a lasting impact on the hotel's success, working closely with Front Office Manager to establish procedures, deliver trainings, and promote a collaborative workplace culture.

As a key member of our opening team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless guest experience during overnight hours. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services: Manage and deliver exceptional services during night-time hours, handling late arrivals, early departures, guest requests, and issues, as well as in-room dining.
  • Team Management: Lead and support the overnight team, including front desk agents and potential security personnel, ensuring effective performance and adherence to standards.
  • Financial & Audit Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Night Auditor to perform and ensure the accuracy of Night Audit function, reconcile accounts and transactions, and IHG One Rewards audit.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare and distribute key daily reports – including financial and operational reports, house status, guest arrivals, guest feedback, duty manager log, and daily briefings.
  • Security & Safety: Monitor security systems, conduct regular patrols, respond to incidents, and ensure a secure environment for all guests and staff.
  • Emergency Management: Act as Chief Warden during emergencies, following crisis management procedures to ensure guest and team safety.
