Educational Role: Maths and Science Teacher in a Holistic Environment

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Maths and Science Teacher to join our team at the Junior Redlands Campus. As a teacher at the Y, you will play a critical role in delivering academic and wellbeing programs to students, supporting the delivery of vocational training programs, and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve educational, wellbeing, and vocational objectives.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Support students with complex backgrounds and different learning abilities, promoting social-emotional growth and academic success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan, write, and deliver structured lessons that differentiate and personalise learning for each student.
- Assess and provide meaningful feedback to students, reporting on their progress and development.
- Develop and maintain a nurturing and supportive learning environment that is learner-focused, safe, and aligned to the curriculum.
- Hold a relevant University degree and current Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
- Have experience in Science and Math Teaching.
- Apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs that meet the diverse characteristics, needs, and learning styles of students who are at risk of disengaging from education.
- Effectively communicate with students using interpersonal skills and behaviour management strategies that contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive learning environment.
- A competitive salary range of AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience).
