Community Development Officer

Our organization is seeking a passionate Youth Worker/ Community Development Officer to join our team. If you are enthusiastic about increasing youth involvement in programs and events, then we want you.

The Restart program aims to develop, manage, implement and evaluate a range of activities for primary and secondary school students who are at-risk of or on suspension. This is an exciting opportunity to cultivate positive outcomes and opportunities both personally and as a community.

As a valued member of our team, you will be implementing programs and activities that promote participation of young people and surrounding communities. Our work environment has a strong team work ethic where we live by our values - Respect, Leadership, Commitment, Passion and Teamwork.

You will report to the Youth Club Manager and be responsible for:

  • Developing and managing programs for primary and secondary school students.
  • Implementing and evaluating activities that promote youth participation.
  • Working closely with the Youth Club Manager to achieve program goals.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum Certificate III in youth work, community development/welfare, human services or related discipline.
  • Experience in undertaking youth-related activities.
  • A light rigid driver's license and a Restricted Drivers' Authority (or ability to obtain).
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain).

Please note: Working With Children Check (Blue Card) No Card, No Start and Restricted Person legislation applies. All employees are required to complete a National Police Check upon commencement.
