We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Planner to join our team at Central Coast Council. As a key member of our Development Planning team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our region through the provision of expert advice and guidance on development planning matters.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level advice and guidance on development planning matters to Council staff, community groups, and other stakeholders.
- Assess and evaluate development applications to ensure they align with Council's planning policies and strategies.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainable development and environmental stewardship in the Central Coast region.
- Mentor and support junior planners to develop their skills and expertise.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to achieve Council's strategic objectives.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban planning, environmental science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in development planning, with a strong understanding of planning policies and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
