Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level advice and guidance on development planning matters to Council staff, community groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Assess and evaluate development applications to ensure they align with Council's planning policies and strategies.

  • Mentor and support junior planners to develop their skills and expertise.

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban planning, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in development planning, with a strong understanding of planning policies and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
