Job Summary

This leadership role is a great opportunity to develop your operational and supervisory skills in a dynamic warehouse environment. You will be responsible for leading a small team, ensuring the smooth execution of daily loading and unloading activities.

You will operate forklifts safely and efficiently, direct your team members, and oversee their performance. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating forklifts to load/unload transport trucks
  • Directing and supporting a small team to achieve operational goals
  • Setting clear performance expectations and monitoring progress
  • Planning and organizing transport loads with the support of the wider transport team
  • Monitoring load safety and efficiency to ensure timely dispatch
  • Completing and checking relevant documentation and records
  • Estimating load limits for safe storage and transport of goods
  • Leading by example in upholding safety standards and contributing to toolbox talks, continuous improvement, and team development

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong focus on safety with knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (COR)
  • A current forklift licence and proven operational experience
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse/transport environment
  • The ability to communicate clearly and set expectations
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative team culture
