Job Opportunity: Warehouse & Distribution Lead

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for driving the performance and efficiency of the warehouse, ensuring all operations are carried out safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, and inventory control to maintain high standards of productivity and quality.
  • Act as a second-in-charge (2IC), stepping in to manage the team in the manager's absence, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Lead a team of warehouse operators and forklift drivers to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate product movement, meeting customer expectations and company objectives.
  • Ensure all warehousing and logistics processes comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and food safety standards.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks related to inventory and dispatch using software such as NetSuite and Microsoft 365.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse supervisory or 2IC role, preferably in a fast-paced FMCG or food production environment.
  • A solid working knowledge of warehouse systems and processes, ideally including NetSuite or similar software.
  • A sound understanding of inventory control, dispatch logistics, and warehouse safety protocols.
  • A valid forklift license and driver's license, with the ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
