IP Lawyer Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse IP portfolio and gain exposure to global issues at the intersection of technology, creativity, and brand protection.

Job Description:

As a skilled IP lawyer, you will take ownership of a wide-ranging portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyright. You will advise on global IP transfers and regulatory requirements, supporting the business on IP litigation and settlement work.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the company's IP portfolio, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Advise on global IP transfers, taking into account local laws and regulations.
  • Support the business in resolving IP disputes through negotiation or litigation.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements containing IP elements.
  • Collaborate with overseas advisers on cross-border IP strategy.
Requirements:
  • Be admitted as a solicitor in Australia (or equivalent overseas jurisdiction).
  • Have 3–5 years PQE in IP law, preferably from a top-tier international firm.
  • Have experience in both contentious and non-contentious IP matters.
  • Be proactive, commercially minded, and possess excellent communication skills.
