Business Trainee

Programmed Training Services is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Business Trainee in Townsville, QLD. This is a paid position that offers a nationally recognized qualification - Certificate III in Business Administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administration support to the procurement team.
- Prepare and process employee timesheets as required.
- Utilize various computer programs, including Excel Spreadsheets, Word Documents, and costing programs.
- Liaise with internal and external clients to obtain quotes and prices for estimating or tendering purposes.
- Maintain a role as liaison officer for any external civil works enquiries with customers.
- Customer service, including answering the phone, greeting visitors, and delivery drivers.
- General administration duties, including filing, archiving, photocopying, collecting and sending mail, maintaining stationery stock for printers/copiers.
- Accounts payable (data entry and reconciling).
- Payroll (data entry into SAP).
- Assist in project costing (data entry into SAP).
Requirements:
- Driver's license and reliable transport essential.
- OHS Construction White Card essential prior to commencement.
- Demonstrated experience working in an administration position where you had to multitask.
- Flexible and willing to adapt to business needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in data entry with a keen eye for detail.
- Courteous phone manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience in Excel, Word, Outlook, and data entry desirable.
- OHS White construction card or ability to obtain one prior to position commencing.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Initiative and motivation essential in this position.
