Programmed / PERSOLKELLY Trainee Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Business Trainee. This is a paid position that offers the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification - Certificate III in Business Administration.

As a Business Trainee, you will be hosted with a major Civil Construction company, RoadTek, where you will gain skills and knowledge in General Administration duties and provide support to Administration officers across a full range of duties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administration support to the procurement team
  • Preparing and processing employee timesheets as required
  • Utilising various computer programs, including Excel Spreadsheets, Word Documents and costing programs
  • Liaising with internal and external clients to obtain quotes and or prices for estimating or tendering purposes
  • Maintaining a role as liaison officer for any external civil works enquiries with customers
  • Customer service, including answering the phone, greeting visitors and delivery drivers
  • General administration duties, including filing, archiving, photocopying, collecting and sending mail, maintaining stationery stock for printers/copiers
  • Accounts payable (data entry and reconciling)
  • Payroll (data entry into SAP)
  • Assisting in Project costing (data entry into SAP)
  • Other duties as advised by the Project Manager or Financial Co-ordinator

Requirements:

  • Driver's license and reliable transport essential
  • OHS Construction White Card essential prior to commencement
  • Demonstrated experience working in an administration position where you had to multitask
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to business needs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in data entry with a keen eye for detail
  • Courteous phone manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience in Excel, Word, Outlook and data entry desirable
  • OHS White construction card or ability to obtain one prior to position commencing
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Initiative and motivation essential in this position

Location:

The position is located in Townsville QLD, therefore you will need to reside locally in the area.

Prior to any offer of employment, a pre-employment medical examination 'Fit for Work' is required to determine fitness for work (including passing a drug and alcohol screen).
