Job Title: Oshc Assistant Coordinator

This is a permanent part-time employment opportunity for an experienced and qualified OSHC professional to support the Coordinator in day-to-day operations of the service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children before and after school, utilising their energy and positive attitude to deliver high-quality programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Coordinator in daily operations, ensuring efficient management of resources and personnel.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and casual booking records, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Serve as a mentor to educators, providing guidance on responsibilities and promoting teamwork.
  • Assist in designing and implementing engaging programs, documenting observations and reflections to inform future practice.
  • Develop strong relationships with families, schools, and colleagues, fostering a collaborative community.
  • Communicate effectively with families, sharing children's experiences and engagement through regular updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold qualifications (or be working towards) in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in childcare principles.
  • Prior experience in a similar OSHC role, showcasing adaptability and resilience in fast-paced environments.
  • Certificate in Child Protection, ensuring safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Food Supervisor Certificate, allowing effective management of food services within the centre.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training, prioritising child health and safety.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS), applying best practices in education and care.
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check, verifying suitability for child-related work.
