About the Role

As a Power Developer, you'll support Development Project Managers in taking our greenfield project portfolio through to the start of construction. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing our portfolio of wind, battery, and pumped hydro projects in the National Electricity Market (NEM)
  • Assisting with contract negotiations for construction and transmission connection
  • Identifying, reporting, and managing key risks associated with the projects
  • Assisting in developing and executing project implementation plans to successfully deliver project outcomes within approved budgets and schedules
  • Assisting the negotiation of commercial and contractual relationships with contractors to ensure they adequately manage AGL's project risk
  • Coordinating internal and external resources to obtain all permits and licenses needed for the construction and operation of power projects
  • Assisting in community consultation activities for development projects, including preparing presentations for community consultative committee meetings and meeting with key community stakeholders
  • Ensuring all Health, Safety, and Environment systems and goals are introduced and adhered to

About You

You'll ideally have experience in renewable energy and/or battery storage project development, complemented by further energy industry experience and an understanding of the NEM. Your outstanding business acumen, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills will set you up for success.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in both business and technical related fields such as Finance, Commerce, and Engineering
  • Strong technical and commercial skills
  • Experience in the energy (or related) industry
  • An understanding and appreciation of renewable energy and/or project development requirements
  • Project, Regulatory, and Risk Management skills
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
