The Role

We're seeking a Power Developer to contribute to the development and execution of our renewable generation and battery storage growth strategy. As part of our Climate Transition Action Plan, we're closing our thermal power generation assets and replacing them with renewable energy and battery storage assets. You'll work closely with our Development Project Managers to take our pipeline of projects through to the start of construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop our portfolio of wind, battery, and pumped hydro projects in the National Electricity Market (NEM)
  • Assist with contract negotiations for construction and transmission connection
  • Identify, report, and manage key risks associated with the projects
  • Assist in developing and executing project implementation plans to successfully deliver project outcomes within approved budgets and schedules
  • Assist the negotiation of commercial and contractual relationships with contractors to ensure they adequately manage AGL's project risk
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to obtain all permits and licenses needed for the construction and operation of power projects
  • Assist in community consultation activities for development projects, including preparing presentations for community consultative committee meetings and meeting with key community stakeholders
  • Ensure all Health, Safety, and Environment systems and goals are introduced and adhered to

About You

You'll have a strong background in renewable energy and/or battery storage project development, with experience in the energy industry. Your outstanding business acumen, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills will set you up for success in this role.
