Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Stellar Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Perth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the field.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining mechanical systems for hydrocarbon storage and distribution, including feasibility studies, detailed design, and engineering calculations. They will also work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget while ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and documentation requirements.

The role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical aspects of fuel facilities and fuel management systems, as well as experience in product development, system performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Design and Engineering: Develop and maintain mechanical systems for hydrocarbon storage and distribution, including feasibility studies, detailed design, and engineering calculations.
  • Project and Site Support: Prepare costings and proposals, attend customer sites to scope works, support installations, oversee commissioning, and provide ongoing technical troubleshooting.
  • Collaboration and Compliance: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget while ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Support product development, monitor system performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including enhancements to the hire fleet offering.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Member of the National Engineering Register.
  • Chartered Status (CPEng) preferred.
  • Experience in mechanical aspects of fuel facilities and fuel management systems highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
