Role Overview:
  • Leverage your clinical expertise to lead the provision of maternity care based on best practice principles within a collaborative framework
  • Assist in planning and managing staff and resources, ensuring efficient operation of day-to-day activities including appointment scheduling and staff leave management
  • Maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to promote high-quality client care delivery
  • Develop and maintain advanced clinical knowledge and skills to ensure adherence to clinical standards and policies

The North West Maternity Services offer full scope maternity care, including antenatal clinics, parenting education classes, pregnancy assessment services, a 4-bed birthing suite, 20-bed inpatient ward, 8-bed special care nursery, and extended care midwifery services for women after discharge. Dedicated lactation services are also provided, as well as connections through allied health colleagues for social work, women's health physio, and diabetes services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in partnership with the Maternity Unit Manager to deliver efficient and effective maternity care
  • Contribute to the planning and management of staff and resources to optimize operational performance
  • Foster effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless client care delivery
