Job Description">

The position of Associate Midwifery Unit Manager (AMUM) is a key role in the provision of maternity care in the North West Regional Hospital. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Maternity Unit Manager to lead the efficient and effective delivery of services based on best practice principles.

The AMUM will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, promoting client care delivery. They will also provide a high level of clinical knowledge and skill to ensure clinical standards and policies are met, promoting a client-focused model of care.

Additionally, the AMUM will act as a role model and clinical resource person, providing clinical advice and recommendations, supporting service development processes, and promoting positive change.

Required Skills and Qualifications">
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife
  • Current Working with Children Registration

Desirable qualifications include holding or working towards relevant postgraduate qualifications.
