The Creative Development Officer is a key position within Tjanpi Desert Weavers, a social enterprise of NPY Women's Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creative development of fibre artists in the NPY lands, ensuring fibre work is created for both the retail economy and the contemporary arts market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the creative development of fibre artists
- Collaborate with fibre artists to create innovative and high-quality fibre art
- Research and identify new markets and opportunities for fibre art
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including galleries, museums, and collectors
- Provide training and support to fibre artists to develop their skills and knowledge
About You
We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual who has a strong background in community enterprise development, arts, and/or Indigenous affairs. You will have a proven track record of working in cross-cultural environments and a commitment to the empowerment of Aboriginal women on the lands.
