Urban Planning Role

The role of a Planning Consultant at our firm involves providing high-quality urban planning advice to clients. This includes contributing to the delivery of impactful land use planning and policy projects, primarily for public sector clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing reports, presentations, and public-facing documents that clearly communicate complex planning concepts. They will also contribute to the preparation of statutory land use planning projects, including development applications, land use studies, compliance assessments, highest and best use analysis, due diligence, precinct plans, and supporting technical inputs.

We are seeking an individual with sound knowledge of statutory planning and related legislation. The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline, as well as minimum 1-2 years' experience within an urban planning firm-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review reports, presentations, and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Contribute to the preparation of statutory land use planning projects, including development applications, land use studies, compliance assessments, highest and best use analysis, due diligence, precinct plans, and supporting technical inputs.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience within an urban planning firm-based environment.
  • Sound knowledge of statutory planning and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/state government environment.
