The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an APS 6 Assistant Product Manager. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for managing contracts, developing administrative practices, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify solutions that seek to lift performance.

You will work closely with the EL 1 Product Manager and contribute to driving continuous improvement and process development within the team. You will also be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of APS, military, and contracted support to ensure the SMU products are delivered to the ADF and supported in accordance with operational requirements, budget, and service agreements.

About Our Team

This position is based in Edinburgh with other team members located in Canberra and Queensland. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts and develop well-rounded administrative practices including schedule and finance administration
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify solutions that seek to lift performance

  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure SMU products are delivered to the ADF and supported in accordance with operational requirements, budget, and service agreements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Proven experience in product or project management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong emotional intelligence
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach to problem-solving
