The Maintenance Asset Controller is a critical position within the Airbus maintenance organisation, responsible for ensuring the on-going maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Support and Test Equipment (S&TE).
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement GSE and S&TE maintenance and calibration schedules to ensure equipment availability for aircraft maintenance.
- Maintain and update Airbus GSE and S&TE records, providing status reports to maintenance management and DASR Responsible Manager as required.
- Perform periodic stocktakes of GSE and S&TE.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance of Airbus GSE and S&TE, including procurement and disposal as needed.
- Maintain effective vendor relationships for timely and effective maintenance and calibration services.
- Coordinate on-site vendor access to support C-J maintenance activities.
- Coordinate waste management.
To succeed in this role, you will be a team player with well-developed relationship-building skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work to deadlines in a continuous improvement environment.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Class 'C' Open Driver's Licence.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft tools, including Microsoft Access and spreadsheets, with the ability to write technical reports.
- The ability to understand and interpret technical compliance requirements in the aviation maintenance environment.
- An understanding of the interdependencies between maintenance, support engineering, and supply chain in a logistics environment.
- The ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to GSE and S&TE to maintain agreed serviceability rates.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
