We are looking for an expert in electronics who can take on the challenge of developing comprehensive test and evaluation plans and procedures, designing, inspecting, testing, and updating electronic systems, components, and equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate closely with engineers, scientists, and other professionals to ensure projects are completed to exact specifications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all equipment and products meet stringent health and safety regulations, evaluating existing processes, and providing recommendations for enhancement. They will also be responsible for developing robust maintenance, testing, and quality control procedures, and demonstrating proactive initiative in staying abreast of advancements in Electronics.
Key responsibilities include monitoring processes and systems, establishing effective relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and suppliers, and writing specifications, instructions, reports, and handling necessary administrative duties. Proficiency in using laboratory instruments such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, etc., and experience in PCB design using Altium Designer are essential. In-depth knowledge of the PCB assembly process, including expertise in PCB component soldering, troubleshooting, and issue resolution, is also required.
The types of things people applying for this role have done prior to Nomad are things like Bachelor Electrical, Electronics, Computer Systems, Embedded Systems or related discipline, Australian Citizenship, PR Holder, PCB design using Altium Designer, experience in programming in embedded C , C++ and python, Analogue and Digital circuit design, Miniaturised electronics, Debugging and fault-finding circuits, Surface mount assembly and rework.
