Job Description

The Operational Risk Manager/Senior Manager is responsible for delivering strategic advice on managing end-to-end risks and enhancing the control environment in Financial Markets.

This role involves collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including trading desks and support teams, to foster a robust operational risk culture and drive continuous improvement in processes and controls across the business.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Leverage expertise in Financial Markets to articulate risk issues and controls.
  • Evaluate risks in new products and initiatives.
  • Investigate incidents to identify root causes.
  • Test the effectiveness of controls.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Non-Financial Risk Management or Assurance supporting a Financial Markets business.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.

Key competencies for this role include business acumen, analytical skills, collaboration, leadership, process improvement, risk management, time management and written and verbal communication. This position requires individuals who are results-driven, resilient, resourceful, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
