We are seeking a talented Senior System Safety Engineer to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing systems engineering activities to plan, design, develop and verify systems specialising in the System Safety domain.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing Systems Engineering activities to plan, design, develop and verify systems specialising in the System Safety domain.
  • Supporting projects in understanding requirements and design implications pertaining to System Safety and identifying potential and realised performance and safety considerations.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Leading specific scopes of work in System Safety engineering for projects.
  • Actively promoting the benefit of System Safety across the organisation and contributing to the development and growth of these disciplines within our company.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree qualification in an engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering or Safety Engineering in a complex project environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of safety-related legislation, standards and safety engineering techniques to product design.
  • Excellent communication skills that enable you to influence outcomes in a team environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
