
Inclusive Community Outreach Specialist

As a Community Project Officer, you will play a vital role in making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities through our new Aim Wider Program.
Aim Wider builds upon the success of previous initiatives and aims to support adults with high support needs in exploring and planning career pathways, building skills, confidence, and networks to secure employment.
You will work closely with participants to achieve meaningful outcomes such as employability skills, personal development, improved quality of life, and enjoyment in a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with participants to enhance their employability skills and personal growth.
- Utilize a strengths-based & person-centred approach to provide group-based and one-on-one supports.
- Assist participants in achieving their employment goals by offering feedback and guidance.
- Conduct research, develop, maintain, and report on project progress.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively present as a public speaker at events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver project activities as required.
- Support scheduling arrangements and prepare delivery materials including equipment for information sessions and workshops.
- Compile and maintain data to meet reporting requirements and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Current Australian Driver's Licence - P2 minimum (essential).
- Meet the current COVID-19 Vaccine requirement – medical exemption acceptable (or willingness to obtain).
- Relevant DHS / NDIS checks and clearances in accordance with the role requirements (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Child Safe Environments Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
