Job Description

The Workday Engagement Manager is a key role that oversees the development of project deliverables, client engagement, and team accomplishment. This person will be hands-on with charters, project plans, issue logs, and other crucial tasks while driving client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Become an expert in Workday's Implementation Methodology and apply it on all engagements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the Workday product suite - HCM, Payroll, and/or Financials.
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Principal Consultants working on implementations.
  • Collaborate with the client project manager to identify/resolve issues affecting project scope and timelines.
  • Offer advice to the Client and contribute to developing solutions.
  • Mentor Cognizant project team members by providing feedback and supporting their development for engaging clients and delivering projects.
  • Deliver projects within agreed-upon budgets and timeframes.
  • Work with Workday Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with agreed checkpoints.
  • Assist in transitioning the client from professional services to product support.
  • Ensure the client can serve as a reference upon completing implementation.
  • Lead teams through the Software Development lifecycle process from Initiation to deployment and handover.
  • Communicate project status and escalate concerns effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field.
  • Previous Workday experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Internet technology and Enterprise Resource Planning.
  • A practitioner background in HR, Finance, or Payroll.
  • PMP certification a plus.
