We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Gawler/Barossa Hills. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting older people to live independently and safely in their communities.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy interventions tailored to clients' needs within the Transition Care Program, promoting independence and safe community living.
  • Collaborate closely with health professionals, community service providers, clients, and their families to ensure integrated, person-centred care.
  • Support and mentor less experienced staff, allied health assistants, and students (AHP2 role) or contribute under supervision (AHP1 role).

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Hold registration with AHPRA to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Undergo employment screening, which includes immunisation requirements and other checks detailed on the Role Description.
  • Be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
  • Apply clinical reasoning and evidence-based approaches to support recovery and independence post-hospital discharge.
