About the role
Therapies for Kids has an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist looking for a stimulating role with a varied caseload to join our transdisciplinary team in Lilyfield, NSW. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in improving the lives of children with diverse needs, helping them reach their full potential through evidence-based occupational therapy interventions. The mixed caseload includes children with physical disabilities, those who are neurodiverse as well as those who are typically developing.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs of each child and develop individualised treatment plans
- Delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to support children's development of fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and social-emotional skills
- Collaborating with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, child-centred approach
- Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records in accordance with professional standards
- Participating in regular team meetings and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, with current registration as an Occupational Therapist in Australia
- Full Australian working rights, although Sponsorship would be considered for the right candidate
- Minimum of one years' experience working as an occupational therapist, preferably in a paediatric setting
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience working with both physical and intellectual disabilities
- Equipment prescription experience advantageous
- Drivers' license desirable
- Willingness to participate in professional development and contribute to the growth of the organisation
