Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Recovery Partner to join our team in delivering high-quality support services.

This role offers the opportunity to work with individuals who require help following a long-term stay in hospital due to mental illness.

About The Role

The Recovery Partner will provide assistance with domestic activities, monitor and support medication management, and help clients achieve short-term and long-term recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use the recovery approach to work alongside residents as they re-learn or gain new skills to live independently in the community.
  • Work closely with relevant managers, external primary care, and clinical staff.
  • Assist with domestic activities such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping.
  • Monitor and support medication management.
  • Support clients to achieve short-term and long-term recovery goals.
  • Help clients become active community members.
  • Identify opportunities for education, training, and employment.
About You

You should be able to relate to and empathise with others, and have experience working with people experiencing mental health conditions.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Mental Health, or a higher qualification, is preferred.
  • Experience working with people experiencing mental health conditions is essential.
  • A commitment to facilitating recovery with individualised support services is required.
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently are necessary.
  • Great conversational, influencing, and negotiating skills are expected.
  • An ability to plan and problem-solve is crucial.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster is required.
