The Role Description

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will work in a team of experienced fitters, reporting to the leading hand. Your tasks will include:

  • Preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance, servicing, machinery upgrades, rebuilds, machine overhauls, major component change out.
  • Machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, trucks, compactors, pavers, and more.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have a Certificate III Diesel Mechanic qualification and experience working on mobile plant equipment. Experience in both workshop and field settings is highly advantageous.

  • Be able to work in a team and autonomously.
  • Capable with diagnostics, fault finding, and problem solving.
  • Maintain an excellent attitude toward work and producing quality results.
  • Prioritise safety.
  • Interpret schematics and drawings (highly regarded).
  • OEM training (highly regarded).
