Job Overview

The Process Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operational activities at the concentrator site.

This includes supervising operational staff and contractors, as well as developing and achieving monthly and annual production targets in terms of crushing, wet plant throughput, metal recovery, and plant availability and utilisation.

Additionally, the role requires adherence to safety, environmental, operational, and engineering standards.

The Role's Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe work environment by implementing compliance with SHE&C plans, management systems, and processes within the mine.
  • Actively participate in establishing a health and safety culture within the organisation.
  • Comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Operational Leadership
  • Develop operating standards, methods, and procedures related to production and operational tasks.
  • Plan, schedule, and implement strategies to achieve long-term departmental targets.
  • Coordinate site leadership activities to ensure continuous ore supply and meet concentrate production, plant reliability, and cost targets.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Desired qualifications include Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or trade qualification.
  • A Certificate IV in Frontline Leadership is also desired but not essential.
  • Valid driver's license and First Aid certificate are mandatory.
