Superintendent Production Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-driven Superintendent to lead our production operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a passion for leading, promoting positive safety and people culture through visible and tangible leadership.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage all open pit production operations.
  • Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to the mine operation teams.
  • Develop and implement key productivity improvements to drive operational efficiency.
  • Drive a strong safety culture which ensures adherence to procedures for operational activities, site standards and legislation.
  • Lead, organise, develop and motivate your teams to exceed expectations and targets, while building meaningful succession pathways for your staff.
  • Work collaboratively and foster relationships with key partners to achieve wider business objectives.
  • Measure, record, analyse and report on safety, people and productivity activities to consistently exceed plan and improve performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A successful candidate will have:

  • Proven leadership experience in a production or similar environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with optimisation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols.
