About the role
Delivering Dementia Support ServicesThis is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate dementia professional to join our team. As part of a fixed term full-time contract until June 2027, you will be based at Brisbane, Gold Coast, Rockhampton, Mackay or Townsville.
You'll play a vital role in delivering our Dementia Support Program, working collaboratively to improve lives and implement best practices. With opportunities for professional growth and a commitment to exceptional service, your expertise will empower others to support those living with dementia.
- We are seeking a specialist to deliver tailored support services to individuals living with dementia and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Support families, caregivers, and clinical staff to understand how dementia impacts each individual.
- Equip carers and clinicians to prevent and respond to behaviour changes through modelling, coaching, and development of resources including behaviour support planning.
- Develop reports that are contextualised to individual situations and people, that effect change on the ground and improve quality of life for people living with dementia.
- Work in partnership with the broader dementia sector to build capability across the home and aged care sectors.
Requirements
- Expertise in supporting people living with dementia.
- Experience in Australian residential aged care and or community aged care.
- High level of negotiation, communication and relationship building skills.
- A current Australian drivers licence and willingness to travel.
- Relevant qualification in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health is essential.
