Trademark Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled trademark specialist to join our Intellectual Property team in Sydney or Melbourne.

Main Responsibilities
  • Filing and prosecuting trademarks in Australia and internationally;
  • Providing rebranding and clearance advice;
  • Drafting and negotiating agreements for consent and co-existence;
  • Advising on intellectual property aspects of due diligence; and
  • Supporting trademark and domain name disputes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Being an admitted lawyer in Australia or New Zealand;
  • Holding 2+ years of experience in trademark prosecution;
  • Having strong academic records with solid legal skills and a practical mindset;
  • Showing a proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of a leading IP team;
  • Able to work under tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team.
