Role Overview

Simonds Homes is seeking a highly skilled Estimator and Project Coordinator to join our team in Adelaide. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for tenders, variations, and contracts while maintaining a strong focus on client needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tender Preparation: Develop accurate cost estimates for tenders within client-agreed timeframes.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with the sales, operations, and construction teams to deliver exceptional customer service throughout the home-build process.
Accountabilities
  1. Pricing and Variations: Provide accurate pricing for contracts and variations, including appropriate margin considerations.
  2. Documentation Analysis: Analyze project documentation to ensure all elements are included.
  3. Quote Management: Obtain relevant quotes and pricing for non-standard variations.
  4. Risk Identification: Liaise with key stakeholders and identify potential areas of risk in projects.
  5. Technical Support: Offer technical support to team members and sales staff.
  6. File Maintenance: Maintain organized files and documentation of completed work.
Requirements

This role requires a residential building industry background in sales estimating, with a tertiary/TAFE qualification in estimating being highly advantageous. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of the National Construction Code, and the ability to interpret technical drawings are essential. The ideal candidate must be able to actively contribute to and work collaboratively within a tight-knit team.

Benefits

Simonds Homes offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
