Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Service Crew Trainer. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing hands-on training and coaching to Service Crew Operators, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on training and coaching to Service Crew Operators
  • Ensure operators are site compliant and competent in their tasks/roles
  • Report directly to the Shift Supervisor/Mine Foreman
  • Work with the Leading Hand Service Crew Operator to coordinate daily task planning
  • Partner with site leaders to develop training plans that support operational needs
  • Identify shortfalls in skillsets and implement improvements to enhance standards, daily planning, and efficiency
  • Align Westgold Standards to maintain accuracy and alignment with procedures
  • Conduct workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and emergency response processes

Requirements:

  • Current C Class Manual Western Australian driver's licence
  • Minimum 5 years' underground Service Crew experience
  • Exposure to mentoring and training new-to-industry operators with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance (preferred)
  • Current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety Act & Regulations and industry standards
  • Demonstrated ability to tailor your training approach to meet diverse learning styles and backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks
  • Solid problem-solving skills with adaptability
  • Can-do team-oriented attitude and passion for excellent work standards
