Job Title: Digital Assets Coordinator

Job Summary

This position involves coordinating the development and delivery of object-based learning programs. The successful candidate will oversee hands-on workshops for students, refining and implementing leading practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the refinement and implementation of the library's object-based learning framework.
  • Coordinate practical operations of the program.
  • Select assets from exhibitions and coordinate collection loans.
  • Prepare resources and written communications, maintaining documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with academics to coordinate and deliver sessions and workshops, ensuring accessibility adjustments are in place.
  • Support preservation and care of scholarly, creative, and cultural assets throughout the session, reviewing insurance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience, or equivalent level of competence gained through education, training, and/or experience.
  • Experience with object-based learning and/or experiential learning programs in galleries, libraries, archives, museums, and records (GLAMR) sector is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in safe object handling procedures and collection assessments in GLAMR environments with knowledge of rare books and preventive conservation.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting practical operations of an education program, planning, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining documentation used in educational programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of intellectual property, copyright, and moral rights laws and conventions as they relate to exhibitions and special collections.
