Job Description:

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing is establishing a new service model to support children with complex needs who are at risk of engaging with the justice system. This innovative initiative aims to provide an intensive and coordinated response to these vulnerable children and their families.

The Strategic Service Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in this service model, serving as a central intake point for referrals and determining eligibility. This position also involves line management responsibilities for a small team, overseeing area-based multi-agency safety planning for children at risk of harm.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage service delivery functions and provide specialist advice on service delivery, including managing intakes, referrals, and eligibility criteria.
  • Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely services and streamline referral pathways.
  • Monitor and analyze reports on referrals, service outputs, and performance metrics, identifying any risks or issues relevant to service delivery or quality.
