About the Position

We are seeking a qualified Learning and Development Specialist to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and learning, with experience in curriculum development and implementation.
  • They will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and academic success.
  • The successful applicant will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • In addition, they will have a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in education.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement high-quality curriculum programs aligned with relevant standards and policies.
  2. Create a nurturing and orderly learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school and foster a positive school culture.
  4. Engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
  5. Establish positive relationships in pastoral care and support students' spiritual and moral development.
  6. Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
  • At least 2 years of experience in teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
