Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Recovery team at Royal Perth Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated nurse to deliver high-quality post-anaesthetic care to patients.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe and evidence-based nursing care to patients emerging from anaesthesia and surgery.
  • Monitor and assess patients' condition during recovery, responding promptly to any changes.
  • Administer medications and pain management interventions as prescribed by medical staff.
  • Collaborate with anaesthetists, surgeons, and the perioperative team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care, where appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in Recovery/PACU or Critical Care is essential.
  • Sound clinical assessment and decision-making skills are necessary.
  • The ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team is vital.
  • A commitment to patient-centred care and safety is required.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is desirable but not mandatory.
