Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Development Program Integration Office and Program Execution & Control Manager to join our organization in a key leadership role for the E-7 Development program, supporting the world-class Wedgetail AEW&C capability.

The successful candidate will have expertise in managing large acquisition-scale projects, complex project management, customer liaison, business awareness, finance, scheduling, production control, trade controls, intellectual property management, metrics management, quality, subcontracting, procurement, contracts and trade control management.

This is a critical position that requires the ability to execute high-level management functions including customer liaison, business awareness with a track record of successful execution outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct program activities including integrated planning and scheduling, change management, project management, enabling functions and the program operating rhythm.
  • Ensure alignment and integration of work at all levels within the E-7 Development Program and horizontally with the E-7 Cored PIO.
  • Coordinate liaising with customers and stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
Qualifications
  1. Demonstrated skills in managing large acquisition-scale projects to successful and timely completion.
  2. Demonstrated ability to execute high-level management functions including customer liaison and business awareness with a track record of successful execution outcomes.
  3. Experience in a broad range of functional areas including finance, scheduling, production control, trade controls, intellectual property management, metrics management, quality, subcontracting and procurement.
  4. Tertiary qualification in a business-related field such as program management, finance or engineering discipline.
  5. Significant experience in the management of sub-contractors and awareness of contracting mechanisms.
  6. Demonstrated experience in financial, contracts and trade control management for large projects in the Defence industry.
  7. Excellent understanding of and demonstrated experience in the application of project management best practice principles.
  8. Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with company and customer representatives.
  9. Australian citizenship and eligibility for an Australian Department of Defence security clearance to Secret level and satisfaction of ITAR requirements.
  10. High-level leadership and people skills and the ability to recognize high achievers and grow their skills.
  11. Demonstrated ability to navigate and lead through complex change management.
  12. Demonstrated ability in managing difficult conversations and addressing performance.
  13. Excellent communication and negotiation skills that facilitate interaction between staff and key internal and external customer groups from O4 to O6 level.
  14. Experience in a military or commercial aerospace environment.
