The Opportunity: The AEW&C System supports the RAAF, including engineering development activities to upgrade and sustain the capability. We use the Single Enterprise Delivery Model (SEDM) to deliver Block upgrades to the AEW&C System through a spiral delivery methodology.


Our E7 Software team delivers software upgrades to aircraft mission systems, ground support, and training systems. The Engineering Lead - Software role manages all Engineering scope within our team to meet customer needs and internal project requirements.


You will work closely with our leadership team to lead activities that plan, develop, test, and deliver E7 software upgrades for the RAAF AEW&C System. You will utilize your communication and stakeholder management skills to ensure timely integration of customer requirements and delivery requirements into integrated software build plans.


Reporting to the E-7 Engineering Manager, you will be based in Williamtown. Your responsibilities include technical leadership, planning and reporting, customer interface, change management, and quality management.


Requirements:

  • Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • (RPEQ &/or CPEng desirable)
  • Familiarity with engineering processes and approaches to deliver weapon system software upgrades preferably in an aerospace regulatory environment
  • Demonstratable experience in delivery of projects in a complex business environment, preferably with direct experience of software projects
